Swordsmanship Division (剣術分割 Kenjutsu Bunkatsu) is the division where all the students who are proficient in swordsmanship belong. The Student Council President of this division was Hayashizaki Kanae until she lost to Hikita Kōhaku in Volume 3. Kanae was re-elected to the position in Volume 5. The Swordsmanship Division follows the doctrine of strength, with the strong students being highly respected while the weak students are usually ridiculed.
The Student Council is formed with the strongest swordsmen among the students, with the Student Council President being the strongest. Because of this, students who want to become the strongest usually aim to become the president. Ironically, because of the workload and responsibilities that comes with position, they're usually happier when they losing the position.
